Friedrich Otto Klein (January 17, 1902 – May 29, 1954) was a German chess player. He was eliminated in the semifinals of the 1914 Deutsch Jugendschachmeisterschaft. He competed in it the next two years, and finally made it on to the World Youth Chess Championship in 1917, but was defeated by Dimitrios Kotsonis of Greece in the finale.
